Construction recently concluded on 278 Eighth Avenue, a 14-story mixed-use building in Chelsea, Manhattan. Designed by FXCollaborative and developed by Alchemy-ABR Investment Partners and Chelsea 23rd Realty Corporation, the structure encompasses 132,700 square feet, including 190 rental apartments and multiple retail levels. Square Mile Capital and Pacific Western Bank provided $183 million in construction financing, with Leeding Builders Group managing construction between West 23rd and West 24th Streets.

Smarcon, leveraging algorithmic workflows within the BIM360 Autodesk engineering software, played a pivotal role in expediting the construction process. Their advanced technology facilitated efficient coordination and clash detection, ensuring smoother workflows and proactive resolution of potential issues. This collaborative effort contributed significantly to the successful completion of the building.
